Juanita Hunter, Person-Centred Counsellor

Juanita Hunter

Person-Centred Counsellor
Juanita offers sessions face to face, by phone, online via Zoom and outdoor walking sessions.

Juanita is a qualified Person-centred counsellor with a range of experience.  She believes that compassion is a big part of the healing process and therefore brings compassion and empathy to her practice.  She will always help you to feel safe and grounded as we work.  There are lots of reasons why we become stuck in life: traumatic experiences, feeling overwhelmed, feeling disconnected to ourselves due to trying to live up to others’ expectations, work related stress or difficulty in our relationships. Juanita likes to provide a supportive space that enables you to connect to yourself, explore, detangle and discover your own patterns of behaviour, thus allowing for change and personal growth, a new perspective that allows you to move forward.

Juanita can help with the following:

  • Abuse (childhood, domestic, emotional and sexual)
  • PTSD

Juanita has worked in trauma and addiction services and in hospital environments supporting those with complex mental health issues, as well as her current role in an Employee Assistance Program.
