About Sarah

Sarah is a Dramatherapy Psychotherapist. She works with children, young people, and adults, using creative ways of working when words don’t quite cover it. People usually find their way to Sarah when something feels heavy, tangled, or hard to make sense of. They might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or a little disconnected from themselves, from others, or from life as it used to feel. Some have additional support needs, while others are moving through anxiety, change, or challenges in their relationships. At the heart of it, most people are simply wanting a space where they don’t have to hold it all together. Somewhere they can be met as they are.

Dramatherapy is a creative way of working that combines imagination, storytelling, and embodied expression with talking therapy. Sarah works in a trauma-informed, attachment-focused way, helping you explore your inner world safely and at your own pace. This approach can support emotional regulation, build a sense of safety, and open up new ways of understanding yourself and your experiences. Dramatherapy is suitable for children, young people, and adults, with the approach tailored to meet each person’s developmental stage. Together, we can explore experiences in a way that feels both safe and gently transformative.

Sarahs work weaves together conversation and creativity, using images, objects and storytelling. When words feel out of reach, metaphor can offer another way in, helping to explore experience, make sense of feelings, and discovering new responses in a way that feels safe and at your pace.

Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel less alone, and begin to find ways forward that feel manageable. Sarah warmly welcomes you to get in touch if this feels like it could be a good fit for you, or for your child or young person.
