About Melissa
Melissa is a psychodynamic therapist and believes that therapy is a way to gain insight into yourself and what challenges and dynamics are impacting you. In session, she will seek to explore your thoughts and feelings and work together to make connections between different parts of your life. She believes that therapy is a place to be curious about the ways that your path and relationships in life have an impact on your present.
Melissa understands that all people experience times of struggle throughout life. She practices from a trauma-informed lens and helps people make sense of how they are feeling. She does this by inviting clients to be their authentic selves and to explore what is going on for them in a space of acceptance and curiosity. She is committed to getting to know each individual and ensuring that every client has autonomy over how they would like to use the therapeutic space. She believes that a professional therapeutic relationship can be a place for exploration, connection, and healing.
She aims to help you gain insight into what’s going on for you so that you have the choice to do things differently. She believes that therapy can help you know yourself more fully and that by exploring your own experience, you can have the freedom to make changes in your life.
She works with adults aged 18+
