Dr Sarah Luczaj
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £50.
Sarah offers face-to-face and online counselling
If you feel stuck or hopeless about any situation in your life, counselling, a confidential, non-judgemental relationship with a professional who is present and honest with you, can help you to find a way forward.
Dr Sarah Luczaj is an experienced person-centred counsellor, who also offers focusing (a gentle, bodily-based technique that can help when words are not enough) and is also inspired by gestalt therapy, art and somatic approaches. Her experience with Buddhist meditation and philosophy, and as a writer, also informs her work. She values respect, openness, creativity and flexibility.
Sarah spent 13 years working as a counsellor in Poland, in a women’s centre and in private practice, and has counselled online, via skype and via email.
Sarah offers counselling in English and Polish, to young people and adults.
While she prefers to work with people rather than problems, Sarah has particular experience with:
- anxiety and depression
- abusive relationships
- inter-cultural issues
- unblocking situations or creative processes that seem stuck
Sarah is the author of Creative Regeneration (Wayward Publications, 2019) and The Chi Book: Reiki from the Roots (Wayward Publications, 2020). Felt Senses of Self and No-Self – the Intersections of Focusing and Buddhism, the book form of her PhD thesis, is awaiting publication.
She also offers Creative Regeneration workshops and coaching programs, involving meditation, focusing, automatic writing and intuitive painting, in digital form. You can read about Creative Regeneration offerings here.
Sarah is a Reiki practitioner (Master level) and offers sessions at Southside Counselling and Therapy Centre, which can be combined with counselling.
Sarah also offers meditation instruction/guided meditation sessions, using a blend of Buddhist and Taoist practices, to help with anxiety, depression and emotional overload.
