About Deborah

Deborah is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Counsellor, who believes that change often begins when we are being heard. Her passion is to listen, work collaboratively, and empower individuals to take charge of their own mental wellbeing. She can help you make sense of your issues; break down overwhelming problems into smaller, manageable parts; and develop new healthy ways to manage life.

CBT is a talking therapy, which focuses on exploring unhelpful thought patterns, often formed through life experiences. Understanding how to reframe these negative thoughts can contribute to positive change in feelings, emotions and behaviours. Deborah provides a safe and confidential space for you to share your thoughts and feelings; offering a blend acceptance, respect and non-judgment to help you navigate your journey.

As every individual is unique, Deborah’s therapeutic approach is personalised to your specific goals, circumstances and needs. This means that alongside CBT, she may use a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches; such as compassion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy or psychosynthesis; to support you on your journey. All she asks in return is for you to be yourself, be open, and share your story. She welcomes the opportunity for you to work together, and build a realistic and effective plan to help you reach your goals.
