About Amy
Amy is a BAPT-registered Play Therapist with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, young people, and adults across residential care, social work, community, and school settings.

She offers both creative play therapy and walk-and-talk therapy, using a trauma-informed, person-led approach that allows each individual to move at their own pace. Sessions may include art, sound-making, sand, and other sensory materials to support expression, exploration, and healing.

Amy specialises in working with neurodivergent individuals—including those who identify as autistic, ADHD, PDA, dyspraxic, or otherwise outside the neurotypical experience. Her work is grounded in lived experience, ongoing neurodivergent-led training, and current research that centres the voices of those with firsthand knowledge.

Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, Amy offers a safe, non-judgmental space to connect, regulate, and express—on your own terms. Her practice supports a range of experiences, including:

  • Neurodiversity

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Eating disorders

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Anger

  • Work-related stress

  • Trauma

  • Family issues

  • Identity exploration

Therapeutic Approach
Amy’s approach is rooted in a deep respect for difference, the value of authentic expression, and the belief that everyone deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and dignity. She is a neurodiversity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and inclusive therapist who creates space for all identities, bodies, and ways of being—not to be pathologised or fixed, but understood and supported.

She believes that play is a fundamental human need—not only for children, but across the lifespan. Play and creativity offer unique ways to process emotion, explore identity, build self-understanding, and foster healing—particularly for those who may have felt excluded or misunderstood in more traditional therapeutic settings.

Sessions are flexible and relational, adapting to what feels most natural and meaningful for you. You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear plan—just a willingness to show up and explore what healing might look like for you.
