Difficulties in life can disrupt how we relate in other areas of our life (relationships, home, school, university and work) and seeking counselling can be a daunting yet empowering first step for you to take.
With you always in mind as the expert in your own life, Michelle will help and support you inclusively to find the outcome in your life that you are actively seeking. In a safe, held space that respects your courage and your autonomy you can explore these struggles and with your combined input in sessions together you can, with curiosity and kindness, work towards a solution, decision or awareness that you desire.
Therapy can be very hard, emotional work at times but there will also be opportunity to celebrate the good bits in your life too, not just acknowledging the struggles. The time together can also be a space of celebration and support.
Michelle appreciates all of life’s differences and similarities within people’s life experiences but has particular interest in working with childhood trauma, estranged and/ or difficult family relationships, school and boarding school issues and the difficulties associated with that indescribable feeling that you just “don’t quite fit in anywhere.”
Michelle has experience in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Abuse (childhood, domestic, emotional, sexual)
- Adverse Childhood experiences (ACEs)
- Attachment issues
- Children and young people
- Family difficulties/estrangement
- Feeling stuck in life
- Low Self Esteem
- Perinatal and postnatal difficulties
- Relationship difficulties
- School and Boarding school issues
- Work related change and stress
